The two market leaders for endoscopic devices are now selling selected standard products in a uniform device design. Schölly contributes endoscopy cameras, LED light sources, endoscopes, and light guides, World of Medicine supplies pumps and insufflators in the same front panel design. The first presentation of the cooperation devices will be at the leading medical trade fair of the medical industry, Medica, which takes place in Duesseldorf, Germany from 12 -15 November, 2018.
With this step, companies can offer their customers a unified, complete tower solution for endoscopic applications. OEM customers receive not only a uniform design of the devices, but also harmonized commercial conditions and joint service and registration concepts.
With the innovation strengths of the two manufacturers, a second cooperation phase will present joint technical developments of products.

W.O.M. World of Medicine GmbH is a specialist in minimal invasive surgery and is a Full Service OEM Provider for global major clients of medical technology. For over 40 years, they have been researching, developing and producing innovative WOM products “Made in Germany”. Their pump and insufflator technology have made the company the world market leader in CO2 Flow & Fluid management in endoscopic procedures. In the cleanroom factory of the company, medical products are assembled and packaged under ISO 7 conditions and plastic parts, especially tubing sets, are manufactured and pre-assembled according to ISO 8 standards.
WOM has its headquarters in Berlin, and has production facilities in Ludwigsstadt and Reichenbach. The American and Asian markets are cared for and supported by locations in Orlando, USA, and Hongkong. In 2017, about 500 employees from more than 30 nations realized a turnover of 83 million euros, the R&D rate is 12 %.
