WirtschaftsWoche chooses Atmos as one of its TOP 50 from a list of 3500 companies
The Munich Strategy consultancy has once again elected the 50 most innovative mid-size enterprises in Germany on behalf of WirtschaftsWoche. To this end it analysed 3500 companies and placed 400 of them on the shortlist. Munich Strategy based its assessment on several parameters. Businesses were only approved and evaluated by consultants if they were characterised by constant innovation, viewed by competitors as innovative, and had established a culture that promotes ideas.
After ATMOS MedizinTechnik was added to the WirtschaftsWoche’s group of “future global market leaders” early in 2018 (issue dated 26 Jan 2018), it has now been given the honour of being selected as one of the top 50 innovative businesses in the German Mittelstand sector, which consists of mid-size enterprises. The medical technology maufacturer from the Black Forest exports its products to 120 countries round the world. ATMOS MedizinTechnik has consistently developed its strong expertise in innovative suction and drainage technologies for the surgery and care sector for many years. It also creates complete workplace solutions for the ENT and gynaecology sector.
“Only a fifth of all German mid-size enterprises are active on the global market”, says Maik Greiser, owner and CEO. In Germany the Mittelstand is seen as the engine powering innovation, technology and the economy. These companies are also strong partners for big corporations, they focus on service, and they are competitive thanks to their constant innovation. Continuous changes ensure stability. As an independent company that is managed by its owners, ATMOS MedizinTechnik is able to address the needs of customers directly. It views itself as a partner to its customers in order to offer the best possible solutions. Being “made in Germany” is also a distinction that still guarantees dynamism in the market.
“We are delighted with this award, because it confirms that we are on the right path in choosing a strategic focus on our core expertise”, says Frank Greiser, owner and CEO. “It motivates us as a member of the German Mittelstand to offer attractive and competitive solutions for the medical sector, and do so in spite of our comparatively limited budget, with highly qualified staff and with passion.”
ATMOS MedizinTechnik invests approximately 10% of its turnover in new product development every year. Its portfolio is constantly expanding. “Just a short time ago, the company supplied only medical devices. Today ATMOS is able to equip entire doctors’ offices and rooms in clinics as a turn-key solution. The customer obtains everything from a single source”, explains Maik Greiser. “From our management to product marketing and development engineers, ATMOS is in constant contact with medical experts and business representatives. This ensures that the market gets what it needs.”
The ability to react quickly to changing market conditions with innovative products and services is a major factor in success. As well as honouring innovative capacity, this award recognises an excellent business performance and the ingenuity to counter the growing consolidation in the industry.
