ERLANGEN. The flat detector (FD) has already replaced the image intensifier in cardiology and angiography. It will enjoy a similar future in radiography. However, presently many users shy away from the higher investment costs involved in this change. But with the new Axiom Aristos VX Plus, GHE-member Siemens is introducing a system that facilitates entry into fully digital radiography.
